Federal prosecutors are making every effort to imprison Diddy, requesting that a court sentence him to more than eleven years in jail subsequent to his conviction on charges relating to prostitution.
In a recent court file that was acquired by TMZ, prosecutors are requesting a sentence of “at least 135 months’ imprisonment” for Diddy in addition to a fine of $500,000.
On Friday, Judge Arun Subramanian is scheduled to deliver Diddy’s sentencing in New York City.
Following his conviction on two charges of transporting male prostitutes over state lines, where “freak-offs” became a focal point of his criminal prosecution, the hip-hop entrepreneur is today facing a maximum sentence of 20 years in jail.
The offenses committed by Diddy are “serious,” according to the prosecutors, who also point out that comparable instances have resulted in sentences of over ten years for criminals who, like Diddy, have used violence and instilled fear in others.
They maintain that a substantial jail term is necessary due to the fact that Diddy “shows no remorse.” He is saying that he confessed to violence and abuse throughout the trial, but that his victims are the ones who should take the responsibility for his actions.
The plaintiff is being accused of attempting to “recast decades of abuse” as a relationship that was mutually poisonous, according to the prosecutors. They continue by saying, “But there is nothing mutual about a relationship where one person holds all the power and the other ends up bloodied and bruised.”
It is their opinion that the punishment that he receives ought to “reflect the considerable psychological, emotional, and physical damage that he has caused.”
The accusations against Diddy, which included racketeering and sex trafficking, were dismissed by a jury, potentially sparing him a life sentence in prison.
