In spite of the fact that she now lives in a different nation, Robin Wright is not in the least bit bummed about the choice she made to relocate.

An interview that was recently conducted by the British journal The Sunday Times and published on the 31st of August revealed that the actress, who is 59 years old, and her partner, the architect Henry Smith, are now renting a house on the coast of England.

When asked about it, Wright told the source, “It’s liberating to be done.” “Be done with searching, looking and getting 60 percent of what you wanted.”

When asked about his desire to leave the United States, the former House of Cards actor, who was born in Texas and reared in California, expressed his desire to leave the country by telling the publication, “America is an s—show.”

She went on to say, “I adore being in this country,” referring to England. A sense of personal liberty may be found here. The people are incredibly generous. They are still alive. They are not sitting in a vehicle stuck in traffic, dreading a phone call, or eating a meal in a state of worry. That is the majority of the United States. It’s all about the competition, the adrenaline, and the pace.”

The actress who played Forrest Gump claims that the cacophony of Los Angeles had a role in both her choice to relocate and her decision to leave the city.

I’m just finished with all of that, and I’m going to enjoy the peace and quiet. Everyone else is constructing a gigantic home. I’ve also found the person I’ve been looking for. Then, finally,” she said, alluding to Smith, who was 52 years old.

Wright recounted the first time she met her current lover, and she joked that the two of them had some choice words for each other when they first came into contact with each other.

At the time, the model was reportedly seated in a bar when she approached a guy and asked if she could feed his dog. At that moment, the man turned his attention to the man who would later become her lover.

“No, it’s not my dog, it’s his dog,” she remembered him saying during their first encounter. “It’s not my dog,” she said. As the Here actress described, “Henry was standing at the bar, and he put his pint down, came over to me, and grabbed my shoulders.” Henry was measured at 6 feet and 2 inches. In response, he asks, ‘Who the f— are you?’ When I asked, “Who the f— are you?” I responded. That was the end of it.”

He is a wonderful person and a fine, respectable grownup. He is a darling. In reference to Smith, she said, “He is a man.” It was “so relaxing” for Wright to be “seen and loved for who I am” once she started her relationship with Smith, as reported by The Sunday Times. Wright added that she felt completely at ease.

“That’s exactly what I wanted,” she informed me. “I am at the age of sixty, and I am wondering, ‘Is this it?’ I like spending time alone myself, and I’ve done it quite a few times. But I’m thinking to myself, “I want to spend my golden years with someone, and I want to travel and see the world.”

Before she married Sean Penn in 2010, the actress from Princess Bride was married to him from 1996 to 2010. It is the former couple’s daughter Dylan, who is 34 years old, and their son Hopper, who is 32 years old.

In the following years, Wright wed Clement Giraudet in 2018, and then in the summer of 2022, he filed for divorce from the fashion CEO, claiming irreconcilable differences as the reason for his decision. Additionally, she was married to the late Santa Barbara actor Dane Witherspoon from 1986 until their divorce two years later. This marriage lasted for just a short period of time.
