Only three seconds. Only that was required of it. All that was required was a single note that was so intense and gut-wrenching that it caused the chairs to start spinning around, and each judge automatically punched their control buttons.
Just when it seemed as if the moment had achieved its pinnacle, she proceeded to give a rendition of the Jackson 5’s “Who’s Loving You” that was so powerful that it stopped the audience in their tracks and grabbed their souls. More than simply singing, it was a deep tale, with each syllable imbued with passion as if she had personally lived each phrase. It was more than just singing.
The room was filled with the intensity of her voice, which was like a bolt of lightning. At the very last note, the crowd was rising and enthusiastically thunderclapping. An other little girl in the Netherlands chose the same song for her audition in a different singing competition, which is amusing given that we now have the finest rendition of the famous song by the Jackson 5. I had no idea that I would ever say this. At the moment that she started singing, each and every judge pressed the button. Not a single item like that has ever been seen by me.
