**Sharon Osbourne Breaks Silence After Ozzy’s Death, Responding to Tributes from Fans and Friends**
Sharon Osbourne has spoken publicly for the first time since the death of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, at age 76. She began replying to heartfelt messages shared by fans and friends on social media, offering brief but touching acknowledgments.
English rocker Gavin Rossdale posted a tribute on Instagram shortly after the news broke, calling Ozzy a “true legend” and remembering him as warm, kind, and funny. Sharon responded simply with, “Bless you.”
The Osbourne family announced Ozzy’s passing on Tuesday, sharing that he died peacefully surrounded by loved ones. “It is with more sadness than words can express that we share the news that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne passed away this morning,” their statement read, signed by Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis. They also asked for privacy during this difficult time.
Fans noticed Sharon’s subtle and emotional replies to various tributes late Wednesday, including one to BBC Radio 1 DJ Jack Saunders. “Jack thank you for your tribute to Ozzy tonight, bless you,” she commented.
Ozzy and Sharon were married on July 4, 1982. They had three children together: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. Ozzy also had three children from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley.
Earlier this month, Ozzy gave his final performance alongside his original Black Sabbath bandmates in Birmingham, marking an emotional farewell to his fans. “You’ve no idea how I feel – thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he told the crowd, adding that it would be his last live appearance due to ongoing health struggles. In 2020, he revealed his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease.
Known for his larger-than-life persona and wild antics—such as biting the heads off a bat and dove, or urinating on a U.S. monument—Ozzy became one of the most recognizable figures in rock music. Despite controversies and serious health battles, he maintained a towering legacy, selling over 100 million records and becoming synonymous with heavy metal through hits like *Iron Man*, *War Pigs*, and *Paranoid* with Black Sabbath.
Ozzy and Sharon, along with their children, also became TV stars in the early 2000s with their hit reality series *The Osbournes*.
More details surrounding his final moments have now emerged. On Tuesday morning, an air ambulance was dispatched to the Osbournes’ country estate, Welders House, in Buckinghamshire. Locals reported seeing a helicopter hover and land around 10:30 a.m., with paramedics staying on-site for about two hours in an attempt to save him. The aircraft departed around 12:30 p.m.
The air ambulance crew came from Thames Valley Air Ambulance, based at RAF Benson, roughly 27 miles away. A spokesperson confirmed their team had been dispatched to the scene to provide critical care. Though no government or NHS funding supports the service, it operates as a registered charity and recently responded to its 20,000th emergency call since becoming independent in 2018.
Locals in the nearby village of Jordans said they suspected something was wrong upon seeing the helicopter. One resident said: “We feared the worst when we saw the chopper, and later that day, sadly, it was confirmed.”
It’s believed Sharon had spent the past two years preparing their home for Ozzy’s final chapter, including a major renovation with a rehabilitation wing, a pond, and a swimming pool to help accommodate his declining health.
Osbourne’s farewell performance at Birmingham’s Villa Park in July 2025, surrounded by longtime fans and bandmates, now stands as the final chapter in a career marked by both chaos and cultural impact.
