Kat Timpf is temporarily stepping away from Gutfeld! as she prepares for another surgery tied to her ongoing breast cancer treatment.

The Fox News commentator first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this year — news that came during what should’ve been one of the happiest times in her life: her pregnancy.

“I’m incredibly fortunate we caught the cancer early, and I’m beyond grateful to be my son’s mom,” she shared on Instagram in February. “I know I’m biased, but he’s amazing — and might have actually saved my life.”

Following her diagnosis, Timpf underwent a double mastectomy. She returned to the screen in May on What Did I Miss, her Fox Nation show with Greg Gutfeld, as reported by The Sun.

Now, she’s stepping away from television again for a few weeks to undergo another procedure.

“Even in the best-case scenario, breast cancer recovery can be a long journey toward feeling whole again,” she wrote on social media. “This is just the beginning of that process.”

Timpf also addressed her brief absence head-on, saying, “Just so the internet doesn’t start inventing stories — that’s where I am.”

She expressed deep appreciation for those who have reached out to her:
“Thank you so much to everyone who’s shown me love and support. I love you all more than you know.”

Despite receiving an outpouring of encouragement from fans and colleagues, she’s also faced online criticism — with some questioning her cancer diagnosis and even her parenting skills.

In March, Timpf responded to skeptics, saying, “I promise I understand my medical situation better than random people on the internet.”

After attending Coachella — her first public event since becoming a mom — some detractors slammed her for enjoying time away from her baby.

“One thing I’ve learned about motherhood,” she wrote in April, “is that if you post a photo with your baby or, heaven forbid, are seen enjoying yourself without the baby, people lose their minds.”

“I’ve only been a mom for a few months,” she added, “but I’m starting to think the only way to avoid judgment as a parent… is to be a dad.”
