However, despite the fact that the tragic death of Ozzy Osbourne sent shockwaves across the rock and roll world, hip hop veteran Trick Daddy is still grieving the loss of his friend.
TMZ Hip Hop is informed by Trick Daddy that… “The iconic legend will be truly missed, especially by me — a young, Black man out of the ghetto of Miami — by giving the clearance to sample his ‘Crazy Train’ masterpiece!”
It is true that Jim Jonsin and Bigg D reworked Ozzy’s 1980 song “Crazy Train” in 2004 for Trick, Lil Jon, and Twista to produce a disaster of a tune called “Let’s Go.” This music would go on to become a worldwide stadium and movie soundtrack, as well as a television and commercial theme for many years.
The song went on to become Trick’s most successful single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, reaching its highest position at number seven. However, Ozzy was unable to hear it until 2021, when he finally did hear it for the first time, and it utterly blew him away!!!
According to Trick, There was no hesitancy or pushback from Ozzy when he cleared the sample; instead, he showed nothing but kindness and double-downs, which further demonstrated how much the rock sensation would be missed.
Yesterday, at the age of 76, Ozzy passed away in England, surrounded by his family and friends. His passing came two weeks after his farewell show, during which he had the opportunity to play “Crazy Train” for the very final time!!!
