Robin Kaye, the acclaimed music supervisor best known for her work on American Idol, was found dead along with her husband, Thomas Deluca, in their Encino home in what authorities are treating as a double homicide. The LAPD discovered the couple on Monday after conducting a welfare check prompted by concerned family members who hadn’t heard from them in several days.

Sources told TMZ that officers arriving at the scene noticed blood near the front door and, after failing to get a response from inside, broke a window to enter. Inside, they found both Kaye and Deluca dead from apparent gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene, and while no suspects have been identified, police are treating the case as a double murder.

The tragedy follows a recent incident at the same residence just days earlier. Last Thursday, someone reported an attempted break-in, claiming a suspect may have been armed and was seen jumping the fence. Police responded with a ground and air search but found no signs of forced entry or a suspect at the time.

Investigators are now reviewing security footage and trying to determine if the earlier break-in report is connected to the couple’s deaths. So far, no arrests have been made, and the home reportedly showed no signs of being ransacked.

Robin Kaye was a respected figure in television music production, having worked on American Idol for over 15 seasons and winning multiple Guild of Music Supervisors Awards. She also contributed to shows like Lip Sync Battle and other major TV productions.

Her sudden death has shocked the entertainment industry, where she was known for her exceptional talent and influential contributions. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues. Meanwhile, friends, family, and colleagues are left mourning a heartbreaking loss and searching for answers.
