As a result of his disappearance after the accident of Air India, a filmmaker is presumed to have passed away.
According to The Times of India and The Indian Express, Mahesh Kalawadia, who was 34 years old at the time of his disappearance, has been missing since the crash of aircraft AI171 in Ahmedabad soon after takeoff on June 12.
In the thirty minutes before to the collision, Manesh made a phone call to his wife, according to his brother Kartik Kalawadia, who was quoted by the BBC.
During the contact, which took place at about 1:10 p.m., Kartik said that his brother had informed his wife, Hetal, that he had just received the conclusion of a meeting that was held close to Law Garden, as reported by The Indian Express.
“Some jokes were exchanged between them, and he mentioned that he was on his way to their residence in Naroda,” Kartik, who is 32 years old, added.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Kartik said that Hetal had spent an hour attempting to get in touch with her spouse, but she was unable.
As reported by BBC News, Kartik said that his brother’s phone stopped functioning when he was a few hundred meters away from the B.J. Medical College.
According to Kartik, who spoke with the news source, “It’s like he vanished into thin air.”
Immediately after learning about the incident, members of Manesh’s family started seeking for him. According to The Indian Express, they have searched the local morgues, hospitals, and police stations around the area, but they have not been successful in locating him.

The family did not initially expect that the hostel in Meghani Nagar, which is situated in the same area where the event occurred, would be along the path that Manesh often takes, according to Kartik. On the other hand, they ultimately discovered that Manesh’s phone had “switched off” some 700 meters away from that location.
The Indian Express reported that Hetal said, “We have submitted DNA samples to check if he was one of those killed on the ground due to the crash.” Hetal’s statement was made in reference to the deceased individual.
According to reports from the BBC and the Associated Press, the number of fatalities that have been attributed to the accident of Air India has reached 270.
According to an earlier announcement made by Air India CEO Campbell Wilson, 241 individuals were on board the jet that was headed to London when it crashed while it was in flight.
There was just one passenger on board the jet who managed to survive the disaster, and that was Vishwash Kumar Ramesh.
