After being at an animal shelter for many weeks to heal from a jaw injury, a dog who was discovered in the midst of the flames in Los Angeles is now seeking for a permanent home forever.
Nicky, a shepherd-mix who is around 18 months old, was found by the Best Friends Animal Society earlier this year. He was then transported from the East Valley Shelter in Los Angeles to the Best Friends Pet Adoption Center in West Los Angeles.
It was determined that the puppy had suffered a severe injury of unknown origin, which prevented him from opening his mouth more than a few millimeters when he was brought in.
Nicky became well-known for being a “rockstar” in play groups with other animals and for being a very lovely dog in general, despite the fact that he could hardly open his lips.
Nicky was able to get the specialized medical attention he required because to the efforts of Best Friends. In order to assist him in regaining the ability to utilize his jaw, he was sent to a veterinary dentist who specializes in the field and had surgery.
After undergoing surgery, it took him around five weeks to recuperate from the procedure. The lively puppy that he has always been is still there, but he has grown.
Since that time, Nicky has been attending playgroups on a regular basis with other dogs. The act of prancing about like a cute deer and playing with toys is something that he likes doing. His silly demeanor would keep any household well amused, and he is a joyful and energetic puppy that would keep any home well entertained.
If Nicky had a loving owner who was not only able to offer him with plenty of opportunities for play and walks, but also had the ability to snuggle with him at the end of the day, then it would be the ideal home for him.
In addition, he would look forward to living in a house with other dogs, although this is not a must for him.

Dogs who are older than six months are subject to an adoption fee of one hundred dollars. The first step in the procedure is to conduct a matching survey. Furthermore, the shelter often offers special deals, such as removing prices for elderly cats and dogs, which are available upon request.
