**Barron Trump Enrolls at NYU’s Stern School Amid Rumors and Media Attention—Melania Responds to Ivy League Rejection Claims**

Last fall, Barron Trump left Palm Beach, Florida, and relocated to New York City to begin his college journey at NYU’s Stern School of Business. While former President Donald Trump shared that several schools were considered for his son, online speculation recently stirred rumors that Barron was denied admission to one or more of them.

Now, Melania Trump is stepping in to clarify the truth.

After years of living in the White House and later in Florida, 18-year-old Barron has returned to his hometown of New York. He’s now studying at one of the country’s top-ranked business schools, where only 5% of applicants are admitted.

Donald Trump previously told *The Daily Mail* that they considered his alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, but ultimately chose NYU. “Stern is a very high-quality school,” he said. “He liked it. We liked it. I’ve known NYU a long time.” He praised his son as “high-aptitude,” noting that he’s matured beyond childhood and is doing well.

While Barron’s academic and social life has remained largely private, Melania offered rare insight into his college experience, stating in a December interview with *Fox News* that it’s far from typical. “I don’t think it’s possible for him to be a normal student,” she said, explaining that his identity as the son of a former president and high-profile public figure comes with constant Secret Service protection and a different kind of campus life.

Despite these challenges, Barron is reportedly finding ways to connect with classmates, even turning to online gaming platforms like Discord to make friends. According to TMZ, he’s invited peers to join him in playing *EA Sports FC 25*, reflecting his love of soccer.

Meanwhile, a *People* Magazine source described Barron as popular among his peers, especially with the girls, and said he’s well-liked and admired—even among those who don’t align politically with his family.

Recently, however, a rumor surfaced online claiming Barron had been rejected by prestigious institutions like Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia. A viral Facebook post alleged that his father’s political criticisms might have influenced their admissions decisions. These claims were amplified by celebrity news sites and social media.

But according to *Snopes*, no evidence supports the rumors that Barron was denied entry to any of those schools. To end the speculation, Melania Trump’s office issued a statement.

“Barron did not apply to Harvard and any assertion that he, or that anyone on his behalf, applied is completely false,” said Nick Clemens, spokesperson for the Office of the First Lady.

Interestingly, Harvard has recently come under fire from Donald Trump, who has accused the university of antisemitism and failing to protect Jewish students in light of protests over the Israel-Hamas conflict. He’s also criticized Ivy League schools for accepting too many international students, and his public battle with elite academic institutions continues to make headlines.

In the meantime, Barron appears to be settling into college life at NYU—albeit in a uniquely high-profile way.
