American Idol hopeful Breanna Nix, who is a fan favorite, had yet another outstanding performance during the show that aired on April 13. She sang a sincere Christian worship song against the breathtaking background of Hawaii.

During her audition for Season 23, Breanna was accompanied by her husband, Austin, and their lovely kid, Emerson. It was during this audition that she initially won over members of the crowd. During the time that young Emerson was snuggling up with judge Carrie Underwood, Austin was playing the piano to accompany her. Emerson soon fell asleep as his mother began to sing a touching version of Carrie’s classic song “Jesus, Take the Wheel.” Carrie shed tears as a result of the emotionally moving moment.

Breanna was able to obtain her Golden Ticket to Hollywood with votes that were unanimously answered “yes.” In the showstopper round, she proceeded to showcase her talent by performing a breathtaking version of Kelly Clarkson’s song, which Luke Bryan described as giving him “full body chills.”

As part of the duet round, Breanna collaborated with IAMKNOWN to sing “Gratitude,” a praise song written by Brandon Lake. Especially Carrie, who applauded the pair for being loyal to their beliefs in such a public environment, the judges were obviously touched by the emotional performance that they saw.

“I just want to say how courageous it is to walk into this industry with your faith front and center,” said Underwood, who is also a Christian singer. “For the young ladies, Riley and Breanna, I just want to say how courageous it is.” No, it is not simple. At all times, there will be voices attempting to dissuade you from following that particular road. What you are doing here, however, is something that you should be proud of.

The sincere delivery that Breanna gave was a significant factor in her advancement to the top 24. During the latter portion of the competition, she and the other candidates traveled to Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa located in Hawaii. While there, Breanna proceeded to transform the stage into a place of prayer and inspiration.
