It seems like Kesha is contemplating a potential spouse… or forty?
During her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, May 13, Kesha discussed the possibility of getting married in the future, as well as the financial conditions that would be necessary for such a marriage. Barrymore was informed by the singer that she has “always been a bit witchy,” which means that she has been working to bring into existence the sort of spouse and life that she wants to attract.
“So now I’m manifesting a sugar daddy, and a yacht … maybe a couple sugar daddies,” she said in response. “I would like at least 40 husbands.”
“There are men who’ve said that, and they’re not shamed for it, so why not?” In addition, Barrymore said.
During her appearance on the program, the singer wore a top that was rather elaborate. It was made out of silver chains that were weaved together to make a halter-neck design. Kesha claimed that upon closer inspection, the true highlight was found to be a collection of engagement rings that were woven into the blouse. These jewels were given by “all the men that have tried,” she said.
Kesha has never committed to a marriage, despite the fact that she recently confessed that she has been engaged in the past. Within the context of an interview that took place in April on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up, the singer said that the process of composing songs was essential in her realization that a previous relationship was not suitable for her.
“I was engaged and I didn’t want to be anymore, and I didn’t even realize that I was gonna break up with him until I wrote a song about it,” she said to us. “And then I listened back to it, and I was like, ‘Oh no, I’m gonna break up with him now,’ but it led me to my truth ’cause I can’t lie in the song.”
She went on to say, “You can’t lie in a song,” Kesha advised her, adding, “A, your song will suck, but also, that’s not what it’s there for, you know?”
Rolling Stone published an article stating that Kesha composed the song “Too Far Gone” for Gag Order in 2023 after she had ended her engagement. This disclosure occurred after the article was published.
In an interview with People magazine in March, Kesha said that she has been gaining a better understanding of what she is looking for in a love partner. She stated that she has experimented with non-monogamous relationships, as well as partnerships with both men and women. And just like she disclosed to Barrymore, Kesha revealed to PEOPLE that she is currently “looking for a sugar daddy.”
“I love being able to just be open and honest about it, because I’m f—— into somebody taking care of me, putting me on a pedestal, taking me on their yacht and flying me on their plane,” she stated in response. “I’m just into it, and I will not feel shame about that.”
