The mother of a little girl who was slain by her grandfather in a murder-suicide in Louisiana is coming out about the tragedy and saying that she is still looking for answers. The girl was just two years old at the time of her grandparents’ loss.

According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, Adalynn Mae Sadler was killed by her grandpa, Leroy Sadler, who was sixty years old. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of May 5 when Adalynn Mae Sadler was visiting her grandfather’s residence near Keithville.

Also discovered d.ead at the site were her grandmother Judy, who was 64 years old, and her father James, who was 29 years old.

Kara Hanning, Adalynn’s mother, talked with KSLA about her grief as she prepared to bury her only child on Mother’s Day. This conversation took place in the aftermath of the tragic event that occurred.

She remarked, “I’m completely at a loss for words for that, because he loved that baby so much,” in reference to Adalynn’s bond with her grandpa.

“He did love her, and I don’t know what caused this to happen or what he must have been going through,” she said. “I don’t know where he started.” I am in a dreadful state of mind because I wish he had begged for assistance.

Additionally, Hanning detailed the feeling of dread that she had that morning when she was notified of an event that had taken place on the block where Adalynn’s grandparents resided.

Despite the fact that she was working at the time, she said that she immediately phoned Adalynn’s babysitter to confirm that her daughter had been collected from the babysitter earlier that morning.

It was revealed to her by the babysitter that she had not seen Adalynn or her father on that particular day.

Hanning then attempted to get in touch with Leroy, Judy, and James in order to inquire about the well-being of her daughter, but she received no answer.

At that time, Hanning made the decision to go home, and she said that she was accosted by investigators as soon as she drove into her house.

And all they did was stare at me with the most heartbreaking face, and I just lost it. I did for the simple reason that I don’t believe anybody would wish to lose their kid in such a manner,” Hanning said.

The Central Pennsylvania State Police (CPSO) said that deputies rushed to the property on May 6 shortly before 7 a.m. in response to a welfare complaint and attempted to communicate with a person who was present inside the premises.

A short while later, deputies entered the property after hearing a single gunshot coming from inside the residence. Upon entering the residence, they found the corpses of the de.ad individuals.

Hanning said that Leroy’s stepdaughter had passed away from cancer only a few months before, and that he had also discovered that his wife was going through a difficult time.

She also expressed her regret that she was unable to be with him as he was going through his difficulties.

“I feel terrible because I wish he would have asked for help for whatever he was going through, and I don’t know what pain he must have been going through,” Hanning said. “I wish he would have asked for help.”

She went on to say that she does not despise Leroy, despite the crimes that he has taken.

“I am unable to despise him. It is impossible for me to feel hatred against him,” Hanning remarked. The deeds that he took are forgiven by me. It is something I wish had never occurred, but I do not have any ill will against that individual.

After that, a member of Hanning’s family established a GoFundMe account in order to assist her in covering the costs of her daughter’s burial as well as other expenditures.
