It has been reported by All Elite Wrestling that the legendary wrestler Sabu has passed away, barely three weeks after competing in his retirement rumble.
In a message on the star’s death, the main wrestling organization expressed their gratitude for the “unforgettable high-risk moments” he had experienced and said that he had given the wrestling industry all he had.
The AEW would like to express its condolences to his family and friends. The organization did not disclose any information on the cause of death.
His wrestling career began in the middle of the 1980s, when he was in his early 20s, and he was getting instruction from his uncle Edward “The Sheik” Farhat. Sabu, whose birth name was Terry Brunk, began his wrestling career at that time.
His major break came in 1991, when he became famous inside the Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling organization. It was at this time that he earned scars on his arms and body, which contributed to his renown.
At first, there were many who thought the scars were the result of self-inflicted injuries; however, others who were close to him dispelled the suspicions by asserting that he had acquired them via intense wrestling battles.
Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, and the WWE were among the organizations in which he competed during the years 2006 and 2007.
Not only did Sabu make a few appearances in the last couple of years of his life, but he also wrestled for the last time on April 18 of this year, which was only a few weeks before his sad conclusion.
