Body cam footage from the investigation into the murder of Gene Hackman has recently been made public by the police. In the footage, cops can be seen investigating Hackman’s house in New Mexico, where they eventually discovered the deaths of both Hackman and his wife, along with one of their living dogs laying next to Betsy Arakawa.
According to the film that was acquired by TMZ on Tuesday, you can see law enforcement officers searching the Santa Fe residence for Gene and Betsy.
Initially, the police discover the corpse of Betsy, who was lying on the ground next to a closed door leading to the outdoors of the house with one of their dogs at her side. Subsequently, the body of Gene is discovered close to the kitchen.
The body of a separate dog was discovered inside of a crate; the dog had been confined inside of the cage during a visit to the veterinarian.
To say that the house that Gene and Betsy were living in was unorganized is an understatement. The tape also depicts the condition of the home that they were living in.
The property owned by Gene and Betsy was found to be infested with rats, as determined by an environmental assessment conducted by the New Mexico Department of Public Health. The examination revealed that dead rodents and nests were dispersed among eight unattached structures.
Betsy passed away on February 12 due to hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, and Gene passed away a few days later, around February 17 or 18, as a combination of heart illness and severe Alzheimer’s disease.v
