Alfie Andrew, a 12-year-old UK native, struck all the high notes and received a standing ovation from all four judges on America’s Got Talent when he sang “Hold My Hand,” the Oscar-nominated song that Lady Gaga recorded for the 2022 movie Top Gun: Maverick.
Andrew laughed as Howie Mandel added a little comedy by telling the young singer that he nailed every note and then joked, “The only thing standing between you and an amazing singing career is puberty.”
“I would like to purchase your record immediately,” Sofía Vergara said, demonstrating her excitement. I believe you will become a rock star. “The people are going to remember you, and they’re going to root for you,” Simon Cowell said, complimenting Andrew’s choice to travel to America and adding that he had a very “distinct” voice. You’re very awesome. I just cannot go beyond it.

Following the affirmative responses from all four judges, Cowell accompanied Andrew on stage to compare their matching denim and shirt ensembles before escorting the young performer to his mother.
