following Midler had parted ways with her Tesla, she proclaimed her happiness following that.

On both Instagram and Bluesky, the well-known singer posted the same message: “What a joyful day!” It’s official: I’ve sold my Tesla! Midler welcomed her choice to sell the electric car, despite the fact that she is known for her advocacy of environmental causes. She referred to Tesla as “a symbol of racism, greed, and ignorance” owing to the company’s association with CEO Elon Musk.

Tesla goods have been a focal point for demonstrations ever since January 20 due to Musk’s major financial participation in U.S. politics and his rhetoric that is associated with the extreme right throughout the world. The close acquaintance of President Trump has contributed about three billion dollars to the cause of ensuring the president and his friends’ return to power. In addition, he has been involved in projects that aim to cut the number of federal programs and terminate government positions.

Despite the fact that she is 79 years old, Midler has always been an outspoken advocate for liberal causes and routinely criticizes both Trump and Musk on social media. In the immediate aftermath of Trump’s reelection victory in November, she stopped posting on X, which is owned by Musk.

“Life is so much better!!!” she stated on the social media sites she still had access to as she was making the announcement of her intention to break her links with Tesla.

There are other artists besides Midler who have officially distanced themselves from a car that was manufactured by Musk. In February, Sheryl Crow, a musician who had previously won a Grammy Award, posted a video of her Tesla being hauled away and said that she would be donating the money from the sale of the vehicle to National Public Radio. “There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with,” Crow said on Instagram. “But you must make that decision.” “It’s been fun, Tesla.” There are some Tesla owners who have kept their automobiles, and they have said that they have changed them in order to disguise the make and model. This is because they are concerned about being identified with Musk or vandalism. Vandalism, including graffiti, fire, and other types of defacement, has been committed against Tesla goods and dealerships all around the world by those who disagree with Musk’s controversial ideas. Tesla products and dealerships have been targeted.

Additionally, since Musk started becoming involved in political concerns, Tesla’s stock has seen a decline.

On the other hand, Trump has made use of his position to encourage people to buy Teslas and has warned that anybody who does damage to these automobiles would be subject to severe repercussions.
