There has been an outpouring of tributes after the death of Austin Metcalf, a student from Texas who was 17 years old and had been stabbed while competing in a track and field field event.
On Wednesday, April 2, Frisco Police and Fire were sent to the 6900 block of Stadium Lane near Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas, in response to a sad occurrence that occurred there.
After some time has passed, it has been brought to light that the authorities were informed of “an altercation between two students” that “resulted in one student stabbing the other.” The fatality was Austin, who was 17 years old and was present at the track and field competition alongside his identical twin brother.

During the track and field competition that took place on April 2, Austin was involved in a confrontation with another athlete named Karmelo Anthony, who is 17 years old, as reported by the New York Post. The two individuals had never laid eyes on one another prior to the day of the occurrence.
It has been stated that Austin approached Anthony, who attends a different school, for sitting in the tent that is located in the stands at Frisco Memorial High School. Austin told Anthony to relocate.
Hunter, who is Austin’s twin brother and was also there, shared the following statement with WFAA: “And my brother stepped in and said, ‘You need to go. “Make me move,” he says, “and he’s like, ”
After then, Anthony is said to have taken his rucksack and took out a knife from inside of it. In the next step, he proceeded to stab Austin in the chest.
Hunter revealed in a way that was both heartbreaking and harrowing how he attempted to stop the bleeding while holding his brother in his arms while waiting for emergency personnel to arrive.
After that, he called the parents of the twins while Austin was being transferred to a gurney.

After being taken into custody, Karmelo Anthony was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing. His bond is set at one million dollars, and he is currently being held at the Collin County Jail.
In the meanwhile, Anthony’s father referred to his son as a “good kid,” asserting that he was not the one who initiated the conflict.
“Everyone has already made their assumptions about my son, but he’s not what they’re making him out to be,” Andrew Anthony said in an interview with the New York Post.
It was not him who was the aggressor. He was not the one who initiated the occurrence.
