In the past, there were persistent allegations that Val Kilmer was a Hollywood diva and a difficult person to collaborate with. However, according to a friend and co-star of his, such claims are completely false.

TMZ has received a statement from Danny Trejo, who was a member of the star-studded ensemble of “Heat” with Val. It was a common misconception that Val was tough to collaborate with; yet, the icon was not a high-maintenance person; rather, he was also a “perfectionist.” The distinction is rather significant, as DT makes evident.

You are aware of the tragic news that the iconic actor passed away on Tuesday at the age of 65. His passing sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, since the majority of people were unaware that his health had deteriorated to such a serious degree.

The fact that Val was nice to everyone on a film set was something that Danny wanted to make clear. He just thought that if anything could be done better, he wanted it done that way. Moreover, this is not the same as a celebrity acting like a blowhard for the purpose of their ego.

It is somewhat of a tearjerker today, but Danny shared one of his favorite memories from their time together on “Heat” in order to highlight what a compassionate person Val genuinely was.

Danny remarked on how much he enjoyed the leather jacket that Val wore when he arrived at the set one day. The garment was clearly extremely costly and gave the impression of being quite posh. The next day, he discovered one with him in his trailer; it was a present from Val.

Danny claims that the only problem he has ever had with Val is that his friend did not get an Oscar nomination for his performance as Doc Holliday in the film “Tombstone.”
