During the Opry 100: A Live Celebration that took place on Wednesday at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Travis Tritt collaborated with Post Malone to perform a rousing performance of his classic song “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” which was released in 1992.
Post was someone I had never met until today. On the red carpet at Opry 100, Tritt shared with us that they had a chance encounter just before the rehearsal. “There are two aspects about him that struck me. He is, without a doubt, one of the most courteous young guys I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. It is the same behavior that I have instilled in my children. He responds with both “yes, sir” and “no, sir.” Whenever he utters a phrase, he demonstrates respect, which is something that I find to be very great. In the second place, the passion that he has for country music is something that completely emanates from him.
Afterwards, Tritt expressed his admiration for Post Malone by saying, “And what more could you ask for to be a part of such a special night with people who absolutely love country music and the tradition that lies behind it?”
In a matter of hours, the two individuals came together on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry to present a remarkable rendition of the song “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” which caused the audience to dance and sing along with them. When the performers were performing the fast-paced song, the audience members were spotted applauding, smiling, and signing as they lighted up the stage.
“But my mother never told me about anything like you. I bet your mother must have been another nice-looking honey as well. Hey, you’re a good L-double-O-K-I-N-G. To put it simply, I smell T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” they sung.

Travis Tritt has a long-standing ambition of becoming a member of the Opry, and there was a period when he believed that this would never be possible.
When I initially arrived in Nashville in the late eighties, I couldn’t help but fantasize about becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry in the future. “I never thought they would let me in because I had long hair and wore a lot of leather and I was a little bit different,” Tritt acknowledged to us only a few minutes before the event. “I was a completely different person.”
On May 4, 1991, Tritt was given the chance to make his debut at the Opry, and everything changed from that point on. Also, much to his astonishment, he received an invitation to join the famous organization on February 29, 1992, which was less than a year after he had first received the invitation.
As part of the celebrations commemorating the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th anniversary, NBC’s Opry 100: A Live Celebration was held at both the Grand Ole Opry House and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The presentation, which was filled with celebrities, paid respect to the Opry’s century-long tradition in country music by showcasing performances that were once in a lifetime and heartfelt tributes from some of the most prominent people related to the genre.
Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Ashley McBryde, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Clint Black, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Jamey Johnson, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Reba McEntire, Ricky Skaggs, Trace Adkins, Vince Gill, and a great number of other artists were among those who performed at the event.
Peacock is now offering streams of Opry 100: A Live Celebration for anyone to enjoy.
