On Saturday, March 8, the creator of Fenty Beauty, who is 37 years old, posted a set of photographs on her Instagram account. These photographs were shot shortly after she gave birth to both of her boys, RZA, who is now 2 years old, and Riot Rose, who is 19 months old.
“It is without a doubt the most influential thing I have ever done as a woman… my little miracles! She accompanied the photograph with the hashtag “#InternationalWomensDay,” mentioning that the first picture was of her older son, and the second picture was taken after Riot Rose was born.
A pair of pink sunglasses were worn by the pop diva after she gave birth to her younger kid, and she was wearing a gold necklace and pearls when she welcomed RZA into the world. The photographs taken in the delivery room show her wearing both of these accessories.
She quipped in the caption, “And yes, I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening,” during the delivery of her child.
Rihanna and her lover, A$AP Rocky, in whom she has been together since the year 2020, are the parents of their two boys.
A number of times, the businesswoman has expressed her openness about how much she enjoys being a mother. Almost immediately after she gave birth to RZA, she appeared on the cover of British Vogue with Rocky, who was 36 at the time, and their son, who was still a newborn at the time. The album’s cover depicts a charming photograph of the three members of the family strolling along a beach. Rocky is shown holding the grin-filled child while giving him a kiss on the forehead, and Rihanna is seen walking in front of them.
As part of the accompanying cover story, Rihanna referred to motherhood as “legendary,” adding, “It’s everything.” That is the most insane thing that has ever happened to you. You honestly don’t recall life before.
“You literally try to remember it — and there are photos of my life before — but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far,” she said to Vogue at that particular moment. “Because it doesn’t matter.”
During her appearance at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2023, the singer known for her hit song “Umbrella” disclosed that she was expecting her second child. Riot was born in August of the same year.
PEOPLE was informed at the time by a source that “Rihanna feels her family is now complete” and that “it’s something she’s always wanted.”
The insider said that while she enjoys being a mother, this is the state of mind that she is now experiencing.
Rocky, on the other hand, has not been overlooked. In a public statement, Rihanna has expressed her affection for her spouse and lauded him for his role as a parent.
During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that was published in February, the singer said that the “greatest thing” about the rapper is “is seeing him be a dad.”
The celebrity also made a joke on the fact that her efforts to parenting are often overlooked by their children, to the point where she even gets a little bit irritated about it.
She expressed her frustration to Harper’s Bazaar, saying, “It’s frustrating because my sons sometimes just live for [their dad] more than they live for me.” I’m like, ‘Did you know who cooked you?’ in response to that. Who was it that forced you out of the house? Even though they adore him, I can’t help but think that it’s the nicest thing ever.
