In the White House, Donald Trump’s mug photo is displayed next to well-known images of the country’s most significant presidents.
During the president’s meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 13, a picture of the Oval Office shows a New York Post edition with Trump’s mug image on the cover hanging just outside the door, which was left open.
The criminal arrest picture, which was set in an elaborate gold frame, was among paintings of the Founding Fathers, including George Washington, the first president, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the first president to hold office for more than two terms.
After being accused for allegedly attempting to change Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results, the 47th president made history in 2023 by being the first incumbent or former U.S. president to have his mug photo taken.
At the Fulton County prison, Trump was processed alongside eighteen of his political colleagues.
During Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, devoted MAGA supporters unexpectedly embraced the low-resolution mug image as a testament to his unstoppable might.
In addition to his criminal case in Georgia, Trump was charged in three additional investigations, two of which were federal in nature.
He once again made history as the first American president to be convicted of a criminal in May 2024 after being found guilty of 34 felonies in New York, many of which had to do with fabricated corporate documents. The court in New York sentenced him to “unconditional discharge” for those offenses only ten days before to his second inauguration, allowing him to escape punishment since he was the president-elect.
Trump used his second official White House photo to replicate his mug shot a few days after the New York judge’s punishment.
As Trump did during his first term in office, most presidents posed with their chins up and smiled broadly, but the 47th president looked down at the camera, his brows furrowed and his eyes unsmiling.
