Christy Carlson Romano claims that on her husband’s birthday, she brought him clay pigeon shooting and that he was shot in the face, just a hair’s breadth from her eye!
In an attempt to explain what had occurred, the former Disney actress took to Instagram to display her injuries and severely bruised face.
Christy claims that after being shot in the face, she was struck in five different locations, with a piece being stuck behind her eye. She claims that because of the placement, surgical removal is extremely dangerous, but for the time being, she can still see properly.
The former cast member of “Even Stevens” claims that at the clay pigeon shooting range, another group “unsafely fired in the wrong direction and shot me in the face.”
She claims that her husband, Brendan Rooney, acted quickly, evaluating the damage and taking her to a hospital in Austin, Texas.
Christy says she’s thankful to be alive and that she “saw my life flash before my eyes.”
Her husband posted a picture of Christy in a hospital bed, flipping the bird and attempting to grin despite having a black eye.
