After marrying his longtime companion Mette-Marie Kongsved, Elijah Wood is now officially a married man.
After the “Lord of the Rings” actor recently raised eyebrows by calling Mette-Marie his wife on a podcast, we looked into it further and discovered that the pair possesses a marriage certificate in Los Angeles County.
The problem is that it’s unknown precisely when Elijah and Mette-Marie were married since they decided to use a secret marriage certificate.
On an edition of the “Inside of You” podcast earlier this month, Elijah referred to Mette-Marie as his wife. The presenter, Michael Rosenbaum, also called the movie producer Elijah’s wife.
The pair, who are infamously guarded about their relationship, made their affair public in January 2018 and are parents to a girl and a boy.
As we previously reported, witnesses claim that Elijah and Mette-Marie were married in a private ceremony with around 80 friends and relatives on New Year’s Eve in Sweden.
We now know that they are, at the very least, legally married in the US.
