After having brain surgery, the father of the 10-year-old kid hurt by flying debris after the fatal aircraft accident in Northeast Philadelphia shared his son’s first words.

On Friday, January 31, Andre “Trey” Howard III was hurt when a medical transport plane crashed near the Roosevelt Mall, killing seven people and wounding at least 24 others, including the six passengers on board and one person on the ground.

After being hit by a metal object in the head, Trey was sent to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and had brain surgery. The relatives of the small child was told that there “was a strong chance he might not survive.”

Amazingly, however, he awoke and immediately inquired about two urgent issues: the safety of his sister and the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl.

“‘Daddy, what’s today?'” he asked me. I thought, ‘Monday.’ “All right, hold on.” Yesterday, we didn’t play, did we? Andre Howard Jr., the father, told ABC News, “No, you didn’t miss the Super Bowl.”

“Daddy, did I save my sister?” Trey then inquired.

When Andre commented, “It had me crying,”

“You instructed us to descend. I was only attempting to assist my sister when I believed I had passed away. Andre responded, “Trey said in the hospital.”

Trey and his younger siblings, aged 4 and 7, were in the vehicle with their father when the accident occurred, picking up doughnuts. “Sounded like a missile was firing bullets, metal at my car, everyone else’s car,” Andre said to ABC6. “You see a guy walking on fire and a burning automobile. It was just insane.

Andre said that Trey said to his sister, “‘Get down,'” as the debris went everywhere. I hear the glass break as he grabs her. When I look over, I see a metal fragment protruding from the aircraft from my son’s head.

Then Andre used another man’s shirt and a pair of old socks to try to stop the bleeding. After that, the youngster and his family were taken to the hospital by the police, where he had emergency surgery.

“My kid received an A+ grade from them. Regarding his son’s operation, Andre praised God, saying, “They did a great job.”

Trey saving his sister is “bittersweet,” Andre said. Andre said, “I’m happy he listened, but protecting his sister is my responsibility, not his.

“You instructed us to descend. I was only attempting to assist my sister when I believed I had passed away. Andre responded, “Trey said in the hospital.”

One of Trey’s favorite NBA players, Tyrese Maxey of the 76ers, visited him in the hospital when he woke up. “He expresses gratitude to everyone. “Daddy, I’m a celebrity,” he sobs. “No, a celebrity is not as big as you are.” “You’re superhuman,” Andre said.

At Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Trey is now recuperating.

In order to support Trey’s uninsured medical bills, physical therapy, and rehabilitation, the family set up a GoFundMe.
