Wendy Williams had excellent news on Friday: a court would let her to go to Miami for her father’s 94th birthday, despite the fact that she will be imprisoned forever.
According to TMZ, the court has given private security permission to drive Wendy from New York City to Miami, where her father will be celebrating with friends and relatives. Wendy, who is confined in a studio apartment at an assisted living facility, will remain there for two days before returning by plane to New York.
Wendy was interviewed by TMZ for the upcoming Tubi documentary “Saving Wendy,” in which we pose important questions about her continued placement under a guardianship that essentially denies her any autonomy. She refers to her flat as a “luxury prison,” where she hardly ever gets to enjoy the outdoors, has no internet, and seldom ever has visitors—no one can even phone her.
Additionally, we now know that the court has ordered Wendy to stop communicating with the media.
On Wednesday, February 12th, our documentary “Saving Wendy” will be available for free viewing on Tubi.
