Following Donald Trump’s return to office, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency detained around 1,000 migrants in a single day, prompting Selena Gomez to apologize tearfully to her “people”…

The pop artist openly grieved as she thought about the latest arrests in an early Monday morning Instagram Stories clip. “Sorry” about the news, Benny Blanco’s fiancée said, adding that her folks were “getting attacked.”

In regard to the president’s new permission for ICE to target schools and churches going ahead, Selena seemed particularly frightened about “the children” being removed in raids.

She went on… “I am unable to comprehend. I’m so sorry. I’d want to do something, but I’m unable to. I’m not sure what to do.

The American-Mexican celebrity pledged to do “everything” in her power to save her neighborhood in spite of her desperation.

However, Selena has now removed her emotional response, suggesting that the blubbering post caused her to face criticism.

In a follow-up tweet, the former Disney Channel star said, “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.”

Selena’s response follows ICE’s confirmation that 956 individuals were taken into custody by authorities during several raids in Chicago, Miami, and Newark on Sunday.

Since assuming office last week, Trump has issued a number of executive orders pertaining to immigration, keeping his campaign pledge to clamp down on unauthorized people by carrying out mass deportations.

There will probably be more developments in the days ahead, so Selena may want to prepare herself.
