A significant amount of depressing news from the British comedy industry… Tony Slattery, who was most remembered for his part on the British version of the comedy program “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” has passed away.
The news was verified by Slattery’s longtime boyfriend of almost four decades, Mark Michael Hutchinson, who told the BBC that the comic passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning after having a heart attack on Sunday evening.

The 1980s were the decade in which Tony came to prominence. He was most known for his quick wit and improvisational talent on the British television show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” which was a big hit. The program was recreated for viewers in the United States a very long time ago.
His comedic career has featured parts in the television series “Jeeves and Wooster,” the sketch comedy series “A Bit of Fry & Laurie,” in which he co-starred with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, many stage plays, and other comedic roles.
The most recent thing that Tony did was establish a podcast called “Tony Slattery’s Rambling Club.” He also went on tour with a comedy performance in England.
