Henry posted an update on his health and the condition of his house on his Instagram Stories on Saturday. He also shared the following information about his property. An update: everything is ok. Our home is still standing today. My heart breaks for my friends and the community as a whole. He wrote, “I am at a loss for words.” “The fire that has stopped at our back door is the second one that has stopped here. In the next days, there will be attempts to raise money for the cause. My deepest apologies.”
After sharing the devastating news on Wednesday that she had lost her house in the Palisades fire, Lake has now posted her thoughts on the matter.
It is completely gone. 💔 “I can’t believe I am typing these words,” she said on Instagram, admitting that she and Burningham “lost our dream home” despite a “valiant and brave effort” from one of their friends. She also acknowledged that the friend had made a “brave effort.”
“The term ‘dream house’ does not adequately describe this property. Heaven on earth, as we referred to it. As she proceeded, she displayed a slideshow of photographs of the home before the fire. “The place where we planned to grow old together,” she said.
“We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved malibu for granted, not even for one second,” she said in her letter. “I shared our sunset 🌅 views with each and every one of you on an almost daily basis. The magnitude of this loss cannot be overstated. It is the location where we tied the knot almost three years ago. During this cataclysmic catastrophe, I grieve with everyone else who is going through painful experiences.
As soon as she was finished praying for her neighbors, friends, community, animals, and first responders, she made a pledge to give more information on how she and her husband managed to flee with her dog Dolly “and not much else.”
She closed her tweet by saying, “For the time being, I am in a state of grief. 💔💔💔.”
The following day, Lake reflected on the harrowing experience she had while attempting to preserve the house that she and her husband own. Over the course of two Instagram postings, the actress from Hairspray described the “day we lost our home,” detailing her and Burningham’s heroic “efforts” to preserve the property until they “finally surrendered” and it was ultimately being demolished.
Part of what she wrote was, “There is no question that we would not have survived if we had stayed.”
Over one hundred thousand people have been forced to evacuate their homes as a result of various active wildfires, including the Palisades fire, the Eaton fire, the Hurst fire, and the Lidia fire, as reported by CNN. Additionally, hundreds of thousands of people are without electricity as a result of these fires. It has been claimed that there have been at least eleven individuals murdered, and that there have been approximately ten thousand buildings being damaged. Both the Palisades and Eaton fires are considered to be among the five most devastating fires in the history of California, as reported by CNN and quoting CalFire.
In addition to Lake, other celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Ricki Lake, Cameron Mathison, Billy Crystal, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Farris, and others have lost their houses. Some of these celebrities have turned to social media to indicate that they have left their areas.
