In the aftermath of the Palisades Fire, William McNamara is providing assistance to those in need.
Since the fire broke out on Tuesday, January 7, the actor who plays NYPD Blue, who is 59 years old, has been recording its damage on his Instagram page. He has also been taking pictures of his attempts to assist in the rescue of animals from the further flames.
McNamara, who is linked with the Eastwood Ranch Foundation, a nonprofit organization that focuses on animal rescue, has been assisting with a variety of animal rescue activities around the city of Los Angeles.
One of the approximately one hundred films that he has released since the wildfires started that shows him assisting in the preparation of pigs and goats to be evacuated from a farm in Agoura Hills is one of the videos.
In addition, he watches horses being saved in a second video and peacocks being rescued in a another film. Both of these videos are available on his channel.
“Chickens, goats, pigs, peacocks, and we starting with the horses,” he captioned one of his videos. “Oh, and we started with the horses.”
A number of movies also show McNamara assisting his buddy in rescuing his friend’s cats. In one of the videos, McNamara is seen filming himself attempting to find a way into a stable in order to search for the whereabouts of a horse that has gone missing.

At the end of one of his most recent films, he can be seen searching for two dogs who have gone missing and becoming sad because he is unable to locate them.
“I don’t think this is good news. McNamara said, “I searched the entire area,” as he displayed images of a house that had been caught on fire.
“It’s completely burnt, but I can’t find any charred bodies, so there is a slight possibility that they did get out, but this is the house,” he proceeded to explain. It’s a bad situation. The current situation is really disheartening. It is possible that the dogs have escaped and are now roaming about, but we were also yelling for them. However, there is a possibility that they have also escaped. This does not seem to be a favorable situation. I am very sorry.”
During the interview that took place on Thursday, January 10, with MSNBC, McNamara’s face seemed red, and he verified that what appeared to be a “bad sunburn” was really the consequence of his being “burned” when he was attempting to do rescue operations.
Around 21,000 acres of land in Pacific Palisades and Malibu have been devastated by the Palisades Fire, which continues to be the biggest fire that has been devastating Los Angeles County. According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire), it is now just 8% containment; this is the current situation.
As of Friday, January 10, the Department of Medical Examiner (DME) of the County of Los Angeles in Los Angeles confirmed that there were eleven fatalities in the Los Angeles region that were caused by fires.
