Angus MacInnes, a prominent actor who first featured in the film adaptation of the “Star Wars” franchise, has reportedly passed away, as stated by a member of his family in a post on Facebook.
In the statement, his family announces that MacInnes passed away in a calm and serene manner on December 23, surrounded by those who loved him. The reason of loss was not included in the list.
During his career, Angus appeared in a number of projects that will be remembered for a long time, according to his family. They also said that he had a soft spot in his heart for those who were fans of the “Star Wars” franchise.

The MacInnes family describes him as a “kind, thoughtful, and generous soul who brought warmth and humor into the lives of everyone who knew him.” This is in addition to the fact that he was successful in his job.
In the film “Rollerball,” which was released in 1975 and starred James Caan, MacInnes made his debut in the film industry as an uncredited guard. Two years later, he performed the part of Jon “Dutch” Vander, also known as Gold Leader, in the film “Star Wars.”
Despite the fact that it was not a very significant role, the part made him immediately recognized to fans of the ‘SW’ series. Additionally, he was a regular attendee at conventions connected to the game. His voice was used once again in the film “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” which was released in 2016.

Among his other film and television credits are “Superman II,” “John and Yoko: A Love Story,” “Judge Dredd,” “Eyes Wide Shut,” “Hellboy,” “Atlantic City,” “The Black Dahlia,” and his girlfriend “Captain Phillips.” It has been reported by IMDb that the post-production phase of a short film named “Don’t,” in which he has a role, is now underway.
