Just a few short months after Matthew Gaudreau and his brother Johnny were murdered by a motorist who was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, Matthew’s wife has just given birth to their kid.
Madeline Gaudreau made the announcement on Instagram early on Sunday morning. She shared a snapshot of their newborn boy hanging firmly to her hand and said that she had given him the name Tripp.
Madeline adds in her post that Tripp is “Mommy and Daddy’s world”… ensuring that Matthew’s presence is maintained within the family despite his absence. It seems that Matthew was involved in the selection of the name before he went away.
Matthew and Johnny were riding bicycles in Oldmans Township, New Jersey, shortly after 8 o’clock in the evening Eastern Time, when they were struck from behind by a vehicle who is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.
The two individuals reportedly suffered severe injuries and passed away at the site of the accident. Additionally, a guy named Sean Higgins was taken into custody on two charges of loss by automobile.
Officers took Higgins through a battery of field sobriety tests before placing him in handcuffs, as seen on body cam video that was shot immediately after the Gaudreaus were struck.
During her eulogy, which took place a few days following Matthew’s loss, his wife expressed how thrilled he was to become a father. She said, “The moment we found out about our son, Tripp, it consumed his every day.” It was him who was installing applications, placing book orders, and researching the finest brands of diapers. ensuring that I got the greatest supplements and asking John for advice on how to improve my health.
