It has been reported by his representatives that Art Evans, an actor who was most recognized for his parts in “D.ie Hard 2” and “Fright Night,” has passed away.

His publicist, Erica Huntzinger, revealed to Variety that the actor, who had worked in both cinema and television, passed away on Saturday while he was surrounded by his loved ones. According to Deadline, the actor’s representative said that Art had been battling diabetes for some time before his loss. However, the publication did not disclose the cause of loss.

Fans will most likely recognize Art for his performance as Barnes in the sequel to the film “D.ie Hard,” which was released in 1990 and was appropriately named “D.ie Hard 2.” It is important to keep in mind that Art’s character provides assistance to Bruce Willis’s John McClane when everything goes south at Dulles International Airport.

Given the continuing controversy about whether or not the action film is a Christmas movie, we are certain that many households are now in the midst of a marathon of the film “D.ie Hard.” However, we will now switch gears.

AE performed the role of Detective Lennox in the 1985 horror film “Fright Night,” in which he portrayed the role of an officer who is hesitant to believe that a vampire has migrated into town. Other people will probably remember Art for his performance in this picture.

However, Art has a lot of other important credits on his portfolio … including “Metro,” “M*A*S*H,” “Hill Street Blues,” “Monk,” “The X-Files,” “Ruthless People,” and “Mad About You.”

Art Evans is survived by his wife, Babe Evans, and his son, Ogadae Evans, who have requested solitude while they work through the pain of their loss.
