By using the app to communicate information and promote pleasure via dance videos, Joules Smith, who raised awareness after receiving a diagnosis of an incurable and inoperable brain tumor, was able to raise awareness.
A little girl from England named Joules Smith, who had been diagnosed with a brain tumor that was fatal, passed away at the age of six. She had shared her journey with the world after receiving the news.

In a video posted on Instagram on December 11, her father, Joe Smith, sent the following message with her followers: “Unfortunately, in the early hours of Monday morning [December 9], our beautiful little dancing queen passed away in between me and [my wife] Elisha in our bed.”

Joules was diagnosed with inoperable diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) earlier this year. DIPG is a sort of brain tumor that is located in the brain stem, as stated by the website DIPG.org. Joules took advantage of her sickness to spread joy and knowledge about her specific type of disease. With her “Dance for Joules” series, she was able to get millions of views and thousands of followers on TikTok and Instagram. In this series, she danced in order to collect money for Joules in addition to spreading awareness about the condition.

“Joules has been an absolute inspiration to everyone and I am so proud to be her dad, as is Elisha, her mum,” Joe proceeded to say. “We take so much comfort in knowing that she inspired and touched the lives of so many people from around the world.”

It was also around this time that Joules’ father expressed his gratitude to the medical staff at the Royal Marsden Hospital for the “absolutely insane” care that they had given for his daughter over the course of the preceding seven months. This care enabled their family to enjoy some lighthearted moments during their daughter’s final hours.

“They allowed us to have seven months of absolute happiness, laughing, joking, and the best holidays,” he said in addition, “and we have met the best people.”

Regarding the funeral of Joules, the family has made the decision to offer an open invitation to all who have supported and followed the path of the 6-year-old. Joe said that they “want to give her the best and biggest send off because that is what our little girl deserves.”

“She was the bravest, kindest, and most beautiful little girl, and we miss her so much,” Joe continued, bringing the heartbreaking news to a close through tears. “Let’s keep dancing for our lovely little Joules, since I am certain that she will continue to dance even after we have stopped. Be sure to keep in mind that it is never goodbye. Simply said, it’s time to go.
