Eminem and Adam Sandler are going to compete against each other!
When Sandler, who is 58 years old, appeared on The Dan Patrick Show on Friday, December 6 to talk about Happy Gilmore 2, which hosts Dan Patrick, Travis Kelce, and a number of other celebrities and media personalities appear to have cameos, Patrick, who is 67 years old, revealed that the “Lose Yourself” rapper, who is 52 years old, will also be a part of the film.
“I don’t know if — they’re going to yell at me no matter what because they asked me not to do any press, but what do you want to say?” When Patrick asked Sandler whether he could talk about particular appearances in the movie, Sandler offered his response. “You say it and I’ll tell you if it’s good or bad to talk about.”
This is a sequel to Sandler’s famous golf-based sports comedy Happy Gilmore, which was released in 1996. Sandler did not divulge the specific role that Eminem would play in the second Happy Gilmore movie, nor did he explain how he managed to persuade the rapper to participate in the future Netflix feature. “I can’t tell you all that but I’ve known Eminem for a long time, he’s a great guy and he came in and was funny as hell,” he said to reporters. I have a feeling that we just spent the day hanging out with Eminem, and he was just nuts. He just shot and fired. We are lucky to have him on video because he stated a million things that we can utilize and a million things that we are pleased we have.
“Can I talk about Eminem having a cameo?” Patrick remarked with a chuckle. His response was, “Okay, yes, yes you can,” and he was right. “Eminem was cool, he came by, he was great.”

In May, Netflix made the announcement that Sandler will be producing a sequel to Happy Gilmore. This announcement came two months after Christopher McDonald, who portrayed the wicked golfer Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore, said that a sequel was in the process of being developed during an interview in March of 2024.
Sandler revealed to IndieWire in August that the impending sequel would also have Benny Safdie in “a juicy part,” in addition to McDonald, Kelce, Sandler, Patrick, Margaret Qualley, and Eminem. Sandler also said that Patrick will also be there.
While Sandler was appearing on Patrick’s program, he also dropped a clue that retired golf star Jack Nicklaus, who is 84 years old, would also be making a surprise appearance. In his statement, Sandler expressed his desire to launch the comedy on Netflix “in time for July,” although he did not provide any particular information on the exact release date.
Sandler said, “A lot — I want it to be great,” when Patrick asked him whether he felt pressure about the production of a sequel over thirty years after the premiere of the first film. “We have a lot of good stuff, and I mean good stuff, and all we want to do is make sure that it all comes together and keeps it going from the beginning to the end, and that is the goal,” But we’ll see. There is no doubt that we are anxious, yet we are experiencing a sense of self-assurance.
