The deadly shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was one of the most significant events that occurred throughout the week; hence, it was not unexpected that “Saturday Night Live” handled the matter as the first topic of discussion on the “Weekend Update” segment.
Check it out … longstanding ‘Weekend Update’ co-anchor Colin Jost chimed in on the massacre at the very beginning of the sketch show’s episode … as he blasted New York City authorities for the continuing search and called out the country’s thirsty response to the alleged shooter’s appearance.
According to Jost, when photographs of the suspected assassin circulated this week, there were two separate replies: “Yeah, well healthcare stinks” and “Girl, that shooter hot.” Both of these emotions were similar to one another.
This remark was especially funny to Scarlett Johansson’s husband, who could not contain his laughter as he recited the joke without breaking into a grin. It is obvious that he has seen all of the thirst tweets on X as well!!!
He proceeded to say… It is also so bizarre that the shooting took place three streets away from here during the middle of the day, and the suspect merely rode away on his bicycle. It is probably due to the fact that they have every police officer in the city watching over our Christmas tree.
Five days after Thompson’s killing, the search for the gunman continues, and it has expanded to include a search throughout the whole country. New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch has already said that the perpetrator is thought to have escaped New York City by way of a Port Authority transit hub.
However, Jost made a joke about it at one point, saying, “A Port Authority passenger who looks like a murder actually widens the search.”
On the other hand, we are certain that there are a number of individuals who do not find this circumstance to be humorous, particularly given that the perpetrator of the shooting is still at large.
