Emma Dumont is claiming they’re non-binary, and their friends and family are giving them a new name.
On their Instagram bio, the “Oppenheimer” star switched to “they/them” from “she/her.”
The Dumont spokesman told TMZ, “They identify as trans masculine non-binary. They will work as Emma Dumont but call themselves Nick with friends and relatives.”
In recent years, Emma Dumont has had prominent parts in Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Licorice Pizza” and Marvel’s “The Gifted.”
The previous year, they were well-known all over the world when they played Jackie, Robert Oppenheimer’s sister-in-law, in the critically acclaimed film “Oppenheimer.”
In the last several weeks, Emma has posted many times, including selfies and other pictures in a variety of postings, but she has never actually addressed their recent coming out.
Their subsequent film, which is titled “The New Me,” does not yet have a release date; nonetheless, it is obvious that it will continue to be attributed under the name “Emma Dumont.
