He has purchased a bouquet of hip hop flowers for himself, and the small note that accompanies it states, “HE’S THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!” LL Cool J is not waiting till he passes away to indulge in the pleasure of smelling the roses.
That was the definitive remark that LL made when he recently got down with the “Le Code” program on Apple Music, where he had the opportunity to etch his legacy in stone… “I am going to say this in a humble manner, but I really mean it… I believe that one day people are going to wake up and understand that LL Cool J is the greatest significant rapper that has ever lived. I have no doubt in my mind that people will finally come to that conclusion.
Although he proceeded to present his argument in a colorful manner by using a variety of metaphors that were embellished with jewels, LL spat forth his finest diamonds, reminding fans of the game-changers he brought to the culture of hip hop.

When it comes to the love songs, they are going to say, “This is the guy who introduced the love songs and all the love sh*t,” and they are going to say that.
“When it comes to the G.O.A.T terminology, they gon’ say, ‘This is the guy who came up with all the G.O.A.T stuff,’ I could go on and on and on.”
Know that he has probably been rocking the bells for a long time before the majority of the streaming audience of today was even born. This is something to keep in mind before everyone goes all scorched earth on LL.
And his album “G.O.A.T. featuring James T. Smith: The Greatest of All Time” from the year 2000 pretty much speaks for itself on where he has long considered his position in the game. His debut album, “Radio,” was released in 1985 and was the first LP released by Def Jam.
After the release of his (fourteenth!!!) album “The Force” in August, we had the opportunity to speak with him, and he vehemently defended the work ethic that is necessary to be a great rapper.
