A sad piece of news from the world of K-Pop — The much-loved pet dog of BTS member V has passed away.
V broke the devastating news to his followers on Monday via an Instagram Story. He informed his followers in Korean that his beloved dog Yeontan had “gone on a long journey.” In order to commemorate the time they had spent together, V posted a collection of photographs and videos of his five-legged companion on his account.

The singer said that it was appropriate to share the terrible news with the BTS ARMY, which is a moniker for the fans of the boyband, since they had shown so much love to Yeontan over the course of the years.
In order for V to be “happy among the stars,” he encouraged his fans to continue their love for Yeontan. He also used this opportunity to remind everyone to finish the year with warmth and to let their loved ones know that they care about them.
Back in 2017, when Yeontan was first shown to audiences, he immediately won the hearts of people all around the world.
In addition, he appeared in the music video for V’s song “Winter Bear,” which was released in 2019, and he was featured on the cover of his solo album “Layover,” which was released the previous year.
Throughout its life, the dog did have some difficulties with its health. In fact, V disclosed the previous year that Yeontan had undergone two failed heart surgery. However, the reason for his loss will not be known for some time.
