Donnie Wahlberg, who played the role of Blue Bloods, desired a little souvenir when the production of the successful law enforcement program Blue Bloods on CBS came to an end after 14 seasons.
According to the actor and singer, who is 55 years old, “I took my two Danny Reagan costumes — my blue suit and my dress blues,” as stated in this week’s edition of PEOPLE. “I put them on mannequins and put them in a Wahlburgers.”
Then he came to the realization that the dining table that was used by the Reagan family in each and every episode was also available. “I really had no intention of taking anything from the set until I learned that that table and chairs was just sitting in a warehouse somewhere,” according to his explanation.
The actor intends to move the table and chairs around between the many sites of Wahlburgers, beginning with the one in St. Charles, Illinois, where he and his wife, Jenny McCarthy, now reside. McCarthy is 52 years old. “I’ll set it up where fans can sit at the table and take pictures,” according to his statement. “And then I’m going to raffle it probably for charity for the DEA, the Detectives Endowment Association, for the Widows and Children’s Fund.”
