The passing of Bob Bryar, a former drummer for My Chemical Romance, has occurred. He was 44 years old.

Bryar’s body was discovered on Tuesday, November 26, at his residence in Tennessee, as reported by TMZ, which was the first news outlet to publish about the incident. The artist was reportedly spotted alive for the final time on November 4th, according to sources inside law enforcement.

It was stated by TMZ that a medical examiner is now looking into the circumstances surrounding Bryar’s loss.

A spokesman for My Chemical Romance issued a statement to Billboard in which they stated, “The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob’s passing.”

The request for comment that was made by PEOPLE was not immediately met with a response from a representative of My Chemical Romance.

Since his birth in Chicago in 1979, Bryar has been a member of My Chemical Romance, where he has performed from 2004 until his leave in 2010.

According to NME and Kerrang!, he filled in for the band’s original drummer, Matt Pelissier, soon after the publication of their album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004. He joined the New Jersey band immediately after the record was released.

After completing his studies in sound engineering at the University of Florida and beginning his career as a sound engineer for Thrice and The Used, Bryar ultimately became acquainted with MCR when they were on tour with The Used in 2004, as reported by NME. Bryar’s decision to join the rock band also marked the beginning of his career in the field.

After that, he would go on to perform on the band’s album The Black Parade, which was released in 2006, and he would also work on material for the album Danger Days, which was released in 2010, before he left the band.

According to NME, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero posted on the band’s blog at the time, “As of four weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways.” This was written in response to Bryar’s departure from the band. This was a difficult choice for all of us to make, and it was not made without much thought or consideration. We hope that he is successful in all of his future endeavors, and we have every expectation that you will do the same for him.

MCR was founded in 2001 and is responsible for making successful songs such as “Helena” and “Welcome to the Black Parade,” which has been certified many times as platinum.

Gerard Way is the frontman of MCR, which also includes Mikey Way and Ray Toro. Iero is also a member of the band under the name MCR.

Beginning on July 11 in Seattle, the band is scheduled to embark on a stadium tour that will extend to ten cities in the following year.
