The video showing the last moments of the life of Laken Riley, a college student who was killed, has been made public.

At around nine o’clock in the morning on February 22, the nursing student from Augusta University was last seen alive while running on the campus of the University of Georgia. A few seconds later, she vanished without a trace, and her body was discovered later with “visible injuries.” The authorities had a suspicion of criminal activity. She had reached the age of 22.

You may view the video of Riley running on campus before she disappeared that was aired by the prosecution on the third day of the trial for the murder suspect Jose Ibarra, which took place on Tuesday, November 19. You can watch it above via CourtTV. A mobile trailer camera that was installed by the police in the region was responsible for capturing the clip.

Additionally, the prosecutors disclosed the last text message that Riley sent throughout the course of Tuesday’s hearings.

A UGA investigator who read out the message in court, as reported by WSB TV and 11 Alive, said that Riley typed “Good morning” in the message that she sent to her mother on February 22 at around 8:55 a.m.; this information was provided by the investigator.

Riley said, “…I’m about to go for a run if you’re free to talk on the phone.”

According to a timetable that was published by 11 Alive, she then contacted her mother eight minutes later, however there was no response to her call.

Riley made a call to the police at 9:11 in the morning, according to the prosecution. There was, however, a sudden interruption in the connection. Riley’s phone was phoned again by 911 dispatchers, but they did not get a response. Her mother again called her back at 9:24 in the morning, but she did not answer the phone.

There was a growing sense of concern among Riley’s mother, and the phone records reveal that several members of Riley’s family made numerous attempts to get in touch with her but were unsuccessful. Later on that day, her corpse was discovered in a forested area which was close to a lake.

According to online court documents that were previously quoted by PEOPLE, Ibarra was taken into custody on Friday, February 23, and accused with many charges, including murder, abduction, and assault.

It was reported by ABC News, WSB-TV, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he entered a plea of not guilty.

Bianca Tiller, Riley’s former roommate, was quoted in The New York Times as saying that after her passing, Riley was remembered as a devoted friend who “lit up every room she walked into and brought a smile on everyone’s face despite the fact that she had passed away.”

Riley was a seasoned runner who competed for the cross-country team at her high school. In addition to receiving her nursing education, she was also a student.
