Fans of Whoopi Goldberg want to have a taste of her, and they are encouraging them to dig right in and try it out by presenting them with a wheel of cheese that bears her likeness.
The comic celebrated her 69th birthday on Wednesday, and in order to celebrate her special day, Whoopi presented a “Favorite Things” part on “The View” with her cohost Sara Haines. This segment was quite similar to the one that Oprah previously offered on her program.
In the video, Whoopi takes the audience on a tour of some of her favorite things, including olive oil, coffee pods, luggage, and other items, before walking up to a massive wheel of cheese that has her picture emblazoned on it.
When Sara makes a joke about how she has always wanted her face to be on a slice of cheese, Whoopi swiftly reacts by saying, “I like to be eaten from time to time.”
One can easily assume that the statement takes Sara totally by surprise, and as a result, she exits the frame. She returns a moment later, smiling as she embraces her old friend.
Whoopi’s remark caused the majority of the crowd to laugh out loud; nevertheless, there were a few of people who seemed to be taken aback by the fact that the iconic comedian had made such a sexually explicit joke.
Naturally, Whoopi earned a name for herself on the stand-up comedy circuit before she made the transition to the film industry; thus, she is well-versed in the art of telling a few sleazy jokes.
Whatever the case may be, I hope that the crowd was able to indulge in some Whoopi-flavored Parmesan cheese.
