It’s not uncommon for absolutely incredible events to take place on public transit, particularly in a city as large as New York. Sometimes it might be frightening, but other times there are great moments like this one that happened in 2018 when a guy gave his phone over to a small child so that he could play a game on his phone.
This guy observed that a little child was watching him play a game on his phone as he was commuting on the metro. The youngster was around his age. It was obvious that he found the things he saw to be quite interesting. It would seem that the father understood the significance of a thoughtful act since he did something that the child would hopefully keep in mind for a very long time.
The dad, who was dressed in a gray t-shirt, passed his phone on to the youngster, who was sporting a red hat. The child continued to have a fantastic time during the remainder of his travel by playing with the adult’s phone. The adult waited patiently while the child engaged in his favorite activity. After seeing such a kind act, it is difficult to believe that he did not at the very least experience a little improvement in his attitude. He had no way of knowing that anything like this would occur during his journey on that particular day.
This was not something he did in order to attract people’s notice. Another commuter, Kia Tatiyana Davis, took a picture of the scene on their phone. It’s possible that he learned about it a few days later, when the video was uploaded on YouTube and made public.
The dad was lauded by the commenters, while the small child was complimented upon for his endearing qualities. It was something that may serve as a reminder to everyone that even seemingly little acts of kindness can have a significant impact. Even if something is only here for a short time, it does not mean the memories it creates have to be as well.
When this young man gets older, we can only hope that he will remember this instance as an act of selflessness and generosity that he received from a complete stranger, and that he will strive to make the world a better place for everyone he comes in contact with. The guy should hopefully not forget how much joy he offered to this youngster with such a little act.
We are certain that at least one passenger observed what was taking place, and it is quite probable that his mother saw as well. We also hope that other passengers on the train were moved by the event and paid attention to what was happening.
