This past month, Washington State police were cleaning up a homeless encampment when they discovered the body of a lady who had been missing for over a year. The body was located inside a huge suitcase.
The remains of Shannon Marie Caslin Reeder, who was 37 years old, were found at the campsite at a crossroads in Seattle on September 27. This information was disclosed by the Washington State Patrol in a news release distributed the previous week.
According to the police, Reeder was residing in the region at the time of her disappearance in November of the previous year.
According to a statement released by the police on Friday, October 4, “State and local workers as well as local non-profit organizations were assisting encampment residents and clearing the site of debris when the shocking discovery was made.”
The remains were turned over to a medical examiner at the same time that authorities began their investigation into the killing, according to the police.

According to FOX 13 Seattle, a friend of Reeder’s from his youth has said that she became worried when Reeder did not respond to her birthday wishes a few months ago.
“We tried on Facebook, and we tried on her cell phones,” Caitlyn Andrews said in an interview with the outlets. “It’s hard to believe, it’s devastating.”
It is said by her that Reeder was a mother, and the social media accounts of the passed lady include a photograph of her with her little daughter in the year 2015.
According to Andrews, Reeder had remained a “carefree” person despite the fact that she had lost her mother when she was 15 years old.
The statement was made by Andrews to FOX 13 Seattle. “Shannon was silly, spontaneous, and carefree,” “A new lip gloss, new shoes and she was a happy girl.”
Another acquaintance of Reeder claimed in a post on Facebook that Reeder was her greatest friend and that the two of them shared their “dreams, fears, and the mundane moments.”
During difficult moments, Shannon’s laughter served as a soothing salve, and their constant support in me inspired me to be the best version of myself, as Sheila Brashler said in her article.
Brashler stated, “In honoring their memory, I strive to live as they would have wanted—fully and fearlessly,” and he uploaded many photographs of the two of them to his Instagram account.
An inquiry is now being conducted. Despite the fact that PEOPLE requested updates, the Washington State Patrol did not immediately reply to the request.
The authorities are seeking for anybody who may have seen or spoken with Reeder during the last year and are eager to talk with them.
