Jenna Tea, a transgender woman living in Salt Lake City, posted a video on Instagram on August 10 explaining how her great-grandmother Katherine responded to her disclosure. Since then, the video has received an outpouring of enthusiastic support from people all around the world.
“Ever since I was a kid, she has always been so supportive of me,” Jenna Tea, who is 21 years old, said in an interview with People on Friday, October 4. “She was always aware that I was unique in comparison to other children, and she always saw my uniqueness as a positive trait.
