In an emotional TikTok video, Ezra Sosa expresses his feelings by saying, “I’ve never seen her like that, and it broke my heart.” He goes on to say that “no one deserves the amount of hate that she’s getting right now.”

He is voicing his support for the contentious candidate on Dancing with the Stars, which is Anna Delvey’s partner on the show.

Ezra Sosa, a professional dancer, posted a video on TikTok on Monday, in which he claimed that Delvey broke down in tears after witnessing nasty comments from fans after their initial performance on the show’s premiere. Sosa said that he became upset when he made this accusation.

When Sosa was asked to remark on his formal debut as a professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars, he started by saying, “During that entire day, it was just truly the best day ever.” To put it another way, I experienced an overwhelming amount of affection from each and every individual, including my spouse. Being on my end, I was experiencing a great deal of optimism. She was not getting the same on my partner’s end of the conversation.

Then, when Sosa recalled how Delvey allegedly responded to the remarks made by fans after the opening of Season 33 on Tuesday, he began to have a sudden and intense emotional response.

“I believe that the most challenging aspect of my day is. After our press line, she was reading the comments and we couldn’t find her,” he said. In the end, we were able to locate her in the restroom. The woman was weeping. My heart was broken since I had never seen her in such a state before. In my capacity as her partner, I want to provide her with the most enjoyable experience that she could possibly have. Having the knowledge that this is not the case caused my heart to grieve to a profound degree.

“I know what she did was really controversial and was not right, and I can never justify that for her and for anyone in her life,” he said in conclusion. “It is incredibly challenging for me because the person who I am actually falling in love with daily in rehearsal is not the person that everyone sees in the media. This is something that I am finding very difficult to deal with. There is no one who is deserving of the level of hatred that she is now receiving. She is deserving of a second opportunity.

Sosa closed his video by stating that Delvey has “stepped up to the plate” and that he “cannot wait” for people to see the episode that will air on Tuesday night in order to “see how much she has improved.”

When it was reported that Delvey would be participating in Dancing with the Stars, she was immediately received with a great deal of criticism. The woman, whose actual name is Anna Sorokin and who is 33 years old, was found guilty of larceny after it was stated that she had deceived New York elites by pretending to be a German heiress and stealing thousands of dollars from them in order to finance her extravagant lifestyle.

Julia Garner played the role of Delvey in the Netflix original series Inventing Anna, which was a dramatization of her biography. Shonda Rhimes served as the showrunner for the series.

In 2021, Delvey was freed from jail after completing a sentence of four years; however, she has been placed under house arrest ever since as she continues to fight her deportation case. In addition to being required to wear her ankle monitor while participating, Delvey confessed that she was given permission to participate in Dancing with the Stars by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

During the debut of Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday, she wore a bedazzled ankle monitor for the cha cha that she and Sosa performed. With a total score of 18, Delvey was awarded a score of six from each of the three judges. Take a look at her performing below.

During this time, Sosa’s video was released only a few days after Maksim Chmerkovskiy, a former contestant on Dancing With the Stars, voiced his disapproval of Delvey’s casting and her dancing abilities during an interview on The TMZ Podcast.

My impression was that Delvey’s job was that of a professional liar. You are going to bring that individual along with you on stage and tell them, “Here is a platform that a lot of people have waited their entire actual career to be a part of.” In addition, you are going to give them a minute to share a personal narrative in which they can say, “This is who I actually am.” Regardless of what this woman says, will I trust it? Not in the slightest.”

Following that, he made the accusation that Delvey was “standoffish” on the broadcast.

You may say something like, “Hey, everybody’s human, and this person is not used to that stage,” and then blame the anxiety on the person. The statement was made by Chmerkovskiy. Stop what you’re doing for a moment — didn’t she trick people into thinking that she was, like, really fashionable and unique like that? And that requires a great deal of bravery. Despite the fact that you are really anxious, it takes a great deal of self-control to portray yourself in a certain manner. This’she was nervous’ nonsense is not something I believe in. In addition to the fact that she is a terrible dancer, her demeanor is not going to be of much use to her in this competition.

Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on ABC and Disney+, Dancing with the Stars will resume with a double elimination and a theme centered on the Oscars.
