Cat Glover, who was most known for her musical collaborations with Prince during the pop-rock heyday of the 1980s, has passed away.

The news of Glover’s demise was shared with the public on her Facebook page on Tuesday… Catherine Vernice Glover, also known as ‘Cat,’ passed away, and it is with a heavy heart that we make this official announcement. We ask that you respect the privacy of her children, family, and friends at this distressing time.

The underlying cause of loss was not revealed.

The connection between Glover, a singer, dancer, and choreographer, and Prince, who passed away in 2016 as a result of an accidental overdose of fentanyl, will last for all time. A number of significant albums, including “Sign o’ the Times” and “Lovesexy,” were products of the two artists’ joint efforts.

Moreover, they collaborated on the production of music videos, concert films, and tour videos. For Prince’s smash song “Alphabet St.”, Cat was also credited with coming up with the rhyme that was used in the song.

Once upon a time, the native of Chicago said that she became aware of Prince when she was residing on the North Side of the city. It was at this time that she listened to his single, “Dirty Mind,” in order to alleviate her feelings of despair.

After that, she had her big break as a dancer on the talent program “Star Search,” where she made it all the way to the finals but ultimately wasn’t able to win the money prize of one hundred thousand dollars.

Despite this, she was considered a talented artist by some in the music industry. For the purpose of incorporating her into their separate bands, David Bowie and Prince reached out to her.

On the other hand, Cat had a soft spot for Prince due to her affection for the song “Dirty Mind,” and in the end, she decided to go along for the ride because of this.
