Ashley Park is not afraid to confess that she has flaws, and it seems that one of those flaws would be the topography of New York City.

During her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on September 18, the actress who played Emily in Paris revealed that she had made a rather significant error on many occasions during the first year that she had lived in New York City.

She “did every Airbnb experience” and “discovered every part of that [city],” but when she came to New York, she realized, “I haven’t discovered any of this city.” Park, who is 33 years old, said that, since the first season of the Netflix series was her first trip in Paris, she “did every Airbnb experience.”

As a result of her lack of inquiry, she even spent an entire year being confused about what Brooklyn really is.

Everyone is going to make the assumption that I am completely insane. For the first year that I lived in this area, I was under the impression that Brooklyn was a city that could be reached by using the subway. To the extent that it was comparable to fiftyth street,” she said. “I didn’t know it was a land mass.”

In response, Seth Meyers made a joke about Park saying that she “learned a little bit about [Brooklyn] then stopped again,” indicating that she was taken aback by his statement that the borough could be considered one of the largest cities in the United States.

“I believe that I really understood it when a buddy of mine said, ‘I live in Brooklyn.’ My response was, “Oh my goodness, I am aware of another person who resides in Brooklyn!” The question is, “Do you know this person?” Due to the fact that I had the impression that it was a little neighborhood.

She addressed the audience as the video piece came to a close, saying, “I know things now, guys.”

Park has just returned from a long publicity trip for the fourth season of Emily in Paris, in which she portrays Mindy, the closest friend and roommate of the eponymous character, who is played by Lily Collins.

She had to perform topless for a scene in part 2 of season 4 when her character accepts to perform at a historic Parisian cabaret that is famed for its naked female dancers. This season presented the actress with the greatest difficulty she has faced in the role to far.

PEOPLE was informed by Park that the task was very difficult and frustrating. “If it had not been for the choreographer, Kyle Hanagami, coming in and my team around me, I don’t think I would’ve gotten through it.”

Reflecting on the sequence, in which she dances topless to Britney Spears’ “Oops!,” the actress said that she is “actually really proud now” of herself…. I Did It Again,” and she said that it is a moment that she “will never forget doing.”
