It turns out that Matthew Perry’s dependence on medical professionals was just the top of the iceberg when it came to dealing with his addiction.
This morning, on Tuesday, a new documentary titled “TMZ Investigates Matthew Perry and the Secret Celebrity Drug Ring” will be made available on Hulu. The program was produced by TMZ Studios.
There have been other celebrities, like Kelly Osbourne, who have expressed their belief that it is a well-known fact in the entertainment industry that physicians offer certain medications to celebrities. Kelly, on the other hand, was successful in obtaining Vicodin and Oxy from a number of different Hollywood physicians. Take this into consideration: she was just 13 years old at the time, and the physicians never informed her parents about the medication that they were prescribing for their daughter.
It is becoming increasingly more dire… For the purpose of filling the prescriptions, Kelly would go to the pharmacy without a parent there. Here we are talking about a thirteen-year-old girl receiving powerful and addictive medicines from a drugstore without any questions being asked.
This documentary investigates the ways in which medical professionals, so-called “enablers,” and even rehabilitation institutions are transforming celebrities into addicts, often with terrible results.
